1:41 The end
I’m an aspiring electronics/robotics engineer, currently studying a 1st year in Bachelor of Engineer (Robotics) (Honors), Masters of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) at Flinders University. I design and build projects with an an electronics focus, and always find myself eager to learn more. I’m so eager to learn electronics that last year I completed the Engineering Electronics topic and another Engineering topic at Flinders University, as a part of my Year 12 studies. I’ve been making simple circuits since I can remember, my love of electronics runs deep. I built this bench from scratch with my dad last year to house my rapidly expanding projects. Not long after, I received a Siglent (sorry Keysight) SDS1104X-E 4CH 200MHz 1GSa/s oscilloscope for my 18th birthday! Which was the best gift I could have asked for. I’d been using my Kenwood CS-1021 20MHz oscilloscope a year, after scoring it on Gumtree (Australian eBay) in mint condition! Needless to say, I was hooked on oscilloscopes and what they enabled me to learn about the hidden world of electronics. My current DMM is a fantastic value and has served me well over the years, but all good labs require a second DMM. Not only to make accurate measurements, but to make simultaneous measurements that are otherwise impossible. I’ve checked the datasheet for the EDU34450A and it’s already got me excited about how much it would benefit me, particularly for data-logging on my current project. To me, these Smart Bench Essentials are more than just test gear. They are an opportunity to learn new things, make new insights, and to further curiosity. I often sit at my bench and think of all the possibilities and innovations that I could make a reality, just with what I already have on hand. I can only begin to imagine how many ways there are to utilize the simplicity and interconnected nature of these instruments, and what possibilities they uncover. My goal is for this lab to facilitate all of those possibilities, and bring my ideas into reality. Which is truly the reason why I love electronics, to create. Thank you.

I need an oscilloscope to support my work as an instrument engineer
I think, i late. Btw i really like keysight oscilloscopes. I have no clue what was it untill i watch your and electroboom videos... This week i got about 45% discount on VDE screwdriver. Maybe it's too much luck for one week🤣🤣🥰
hi.GreatScott. i watch manny of yours videos and im amazed by how you explaining and detailing your work excellent im enjoying every time. so i have question for you i have old flip clock and my electrit motor is running out. so i wuld need to replace it .so i want to now which motor choose and also want to be conected to wi fi that can be synhcronized with online clock..can you hellp me with neede parts :)
我是一個初學研究者,我是台灣人,目前嘗試開發相關控制,目前正嘗試迫切須要一台示波器來觀察相關瞬間波形及PWM調頻問題,希望自己開發項目,可以提高設計功能的除錯及優化功能。
I need an oscilloscope because I don't have one and am really in electronics
I need an oscilloscope to test the DC output of the ac to dc power supply that I am building, as well as the power supplies I already have. I can also use it to look at the output from my prototype as well. Thanks for the giveaway, and for your great videos. You have helped me dodge some mistakes.
Currently, I'm learning as an electric technician. Now, i've gotten to a point, where i'm designing my own circuits, creating machines, and currently, i really need an oscilloscope, but i can't afford it.
I need an oscilloscope since I literally do not have one and due to reasons beyond my control and ut will be used for fixing up projects as well as education of both my oldest sin and my youngest (6) whom is turning into an IT/electronics nut like me since i was a kid There's far more to it so this is a TLDR post an email was sent to your listed gmail addy
Truth is Oscilloscope is an eye of an electronics engineer. But we aged and not having a heathy eye. Expecting that some one is donating. With knowing the fact that this add more like focus on brand promotion however by keeping an expectation like taking a lottary.
I need an O-scope because after finishing my MS EE, my job has stuck me behind mundane cable block diagrams. There is no real engineering. I'm trying to build a lab at home and begin my own consulting business to quench my desire for cool lab projects.
Oh dang just come to check what's up with my osci, and looks like someone else took it... Again! :-D
Ineed it for education purposes. I just started learning and it wouldbe great help for reaching my dream.
Im an electronics engineer student and im fascinated by IOT and RnD sectors of electronics. In my free time im working on my projects and oscilloscope would be an amazing addition to my mini labaratory.
An oscilloscope can help me with measuring noise and ripple on my power supplies and amplifiers. Thanks Scott.
weeelllll, Osciloscope will be preety nice upgrade - because my wife holds my credit card... once i tried a "suggest" to buy a oscilloscope, then she's makes sad eyes and ask "why so much money to hobby? you've got one expensive hobby "(cars). so, still stocked to my diy arduino slow, low res display with dots @5V
So I can get better at electronics
An oscilloscope is imposible to get on Peru at a reasonable price and would be a great help for my job and personal proyects
I am a electrical engeneer student and working on some projects. A good oscilloscope would improve my work with electronics.
I would like to have the oscilloscope as I will start my Masterarbeit from April . I am developing a Hybrid Switch using a Sic MOsfet and IGBT working model , I am studying at Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus , But if someone there is in more need for that than give it to that person.
I need it because I love electronics and make alot of projects in which I need it but I am unable to buy it as it is expensive in my area.
I need it because I am an electronics engineer and in my area these are really expensive so I'm unable to buy.due to this I always waste my alot of time for project testing.
I would like one because I do not have one. Thanks
do you know where I can find all the winners on one side? I can't find iiiiiiit :'(
Well, It's unfortunate, I must say. The world is a cruel place full of sore losers. NOT ME THOUGH. However, as the looming food shortages begin to sweep across the globe and millions succumb to its tortuous grip and millions more parish fighting in the existing and newly formed wars that will shortly begin to exponentially increase, I can't help but think about all the poor baby dolphins that could have also been saved if only I could have had the final tool I needed to initiate my plan...DANG IT!... Man, It would have been a beautiful thing! I mean, It would have essentially prevented the wars before anyone even knew they were about to occur and nearly ended all the world's starvation... AND CLEARLY With both hunger and war stopped in their tracks, NONE of the baby seals would have been needed to make the gun-powder and dynamite.
I would really like to have one of this oscilloscope, it can help for my studies
I need an oscilloscope because I can't afford such a high quality equipment
As a senior citizen, I’m on a very tight budget....and a scope is a very expensiv tving to get for me.
I need an oscilloscope because I break things apart to learn stuffs then when i try to bring them back I fail due to lack of equipments and my parents get pissed so i would like them to be less angry at me by successfully fixing the things :))
I really want an oscilloscope so i can finally show people the full potential of my electronics hobby. It is very challenging when you have a very limited resources you need to be creative. If ever ill own one oscilloscope, i can finally do much more things. Thank you!
I am an electronics hobbyist with Arduino and a lot of other things. I will be very happy with an oscilloscope to see if everything is working properly as I intended.
Yeet I built a crude oscilloscope from old crt TV, but I keysight one would be better
Just a question: I saw that you had AE20204 meter. I want to buy one for inductors (below 1uH). What is the precision in reald world? Is worth buying one? I need something with precision below 10% and for inductors in range of 200nH to 1uH (for band pass filters). Thanks.
I'd like an oscilloscope to do some i2c debugging!
Awesome 👍
I need the oscilloscope because I have a small electronics lab with no test equipment. I am using part of my livingroom near the fireplace to have my hot air and soldering iron and microscope. But it would be nice to add either a power supply or oscilloscope there to help troubleshoot problems.
Being a student is like being a happy millionaire, but without a million and without happiness. I would happily let an oscilloscope capture my student passion for electronics .
I need an oscilloscope because it is usefull for my projects.Thank you very much!
I need a oscilloscope because my DIY one die and without it i was forced to stop my electronics hobby. With your help i can kick start my love again.

I'm an electronics hobbyist, and greatly enjoy your content, i need an oscilloscope to better troubleshoot and fix problems occuring in my various projects, a voltmeter only gets you so far after all. Patreon Username: Kjoege
I'm an electrical engineering student, and also a member of a Formula Student team. I often need to design, test, and debug PCBs, for which an oscilloscope would be very useful. And such an equipment would also help me a lot to better understand electronics.
An oscilloscope will be extremely useful for debugging circuits but they are out of my budget.
I would love an oscilloscope for my younger brother, a fresh electronics student, as it would certainly put him on the right path of electronics design and debug.
I need an oscilloscope to be able to debug my circuit projects! :)
Would love to have one at our dormitory's ham club (HA5KFU), so we could see the RF magic inside our circuits!
I need a oscilloscope because I'm bulding a lab and I need the equipment.
SIr, I am a poor guy who lives in a country where people say the country is still developing from the time it got Independance until present day but actually it needs a whole lot of development economically mostly :( But Why do I say this ? Because I wanna be the best of all and even you but price of these lab equipments are really can't affordable for even a simple oscilloscope and even I use a multimeter but mine one just measures Volts, Amp and Ohm mainly but can we measure the WAVE FORMS??? NO! And Price of this equipment in my country is as precious as 500$ for a simple guy in US So, I need An Oscilloscope to study each and every part of electronics I hope You Understood :)
Why do I need a oscilloscope? Because I try to keep debugging my circuits and often have the issue that I can't rule out either a malfunctioning library or a malfunctioning hardware part... Seeing what goes on on the line would pretty much make life easier. Patreon DoEos
I would like an oscilloscope as I enjoy learning about how electronic devices work.
I need an oscilloscope because I would like to learn about more complex circuits. :)
As student it would be nice to be able to not fish in the dark when I try something new + its way easier to learn new things when you can make yourself a showcase with a scope. I also wanna make a 3d printable adapter, so people who have multiple of these can stack them properly.
I need an oscilloscope to repair my repaircafe's oscilloscope.
I need an oscilloscope, it will really help me to lear ellectronic in a practical way (specialy now becoast the university labs are not working)
Because my old CRT doesn't do math.
I bought a second hand oscilloscope which is is broken and can't repair it without a working oscilloscope 😞😭 #chickenegg
Hi great scott! I really need an oscilloscope because I am an electronics engineering student with an immense passion in power electronics. I regularly do power electronics projects. Currently, I have a hantek 6022BE usb oscilloscope because thats all i could afford. Its not a very good oscilloscope as it lacks several features like AC coupling. I am currently working on a Low-Noise SEPIC-Linear Hybrid PSU for my 6th sem miniproject. LTspice simulations show that the output noise could go as low as 1uVpp. In order to make these measurements and verify that my circuit is functioning as expected, i need a really good oscilloscope with proper probing equipment to make sure that the control loops are stable and my output noise is as low as i expect it to be. I would greatly benefit from the scope. You can see some of my projects at https : //easyeda . com / prathikprashanth and at https : //everycircuit . com /list/keywords /@prathikp to better understand what I do. Thanks!
I need an osclloscope because im studying computer engineering and i love it.
Hi, I need a scope for my personal projects. I'm a student so constantly broke and the course that I'm on doesn't give me access to any test gear of my own. Love the DIY or buy series by the way.
I need a scope because it would simplify troubleshooting broken electronics and my projects when they don't work as I expected.
I need an oscilloscope because i want to see complex waveforms!!!!
I need an oscilloscope so I don't have to use shift registers to debug and analyse my SPI signals.
I have had my hameg 60mhz cathode ray since the eighties so desperate to have a digital one as still repairing vintage computers and build electronic projects. Also make stage props. One project I would like to complete is set up a hacker space once the covid is over as did buy a couple of cro scopes to be used for this project. Also to outreach to primary schools as we need new engineers as at work it is hard to find them.
I need a scope because my 30 year old dumpster dive find scope has a new problem every time i go to use it. It was damaged in a flood and I did my best to fix it.
I want it to debug my electronics projects, the only thing that I have to make the measurements is a cheap multimeter.
I need one because I am an EE student
I need an O-Scope so I can learn sine language! :)

I need an oscilloscope because my old multimeter is not enough.
I need an osciloscope to make complex eletronics projects.
I need that osiloscope for my treible project that i must finish it but i dont have money to buy it 😔
I'd really love to have a Keysight oscilloscope because I'm wanting to inspire my 12 year old boy about electronics, makings things and showing him how the world works. Instead of him just playing video games, I want to show him what's inside a video game console, to try to generate an analog TV signal from a microcontroller to show how it's possible to make your own video game console. To have any chance at all of success, we need to be able to use the video trigger functions of an oscilloscope to see inside the signal coming from the microcontroller. I want him to be able to look at an analog TV game and for him to feel inspired because he understands how the signal is made. Only an oscilloscope can illustrate that to him.
I need oscilloscope because I need a 3d printer and my brother is saving money for an oscilloscope math is simple
I really need one because It's the key to electronics and since I haven't used one before,i would love to have some
